GRANNY’S GOSSIP; Better late than never I say, Saturday morning, 10.15 E GRADE girls on fire again, Ashleigh scored a whole lot as she does every game, Grace adds a couple as well but the nicest one was by Charlotte a lovely run in stop and drive very nice. These girls make it hard to mention each and every one by name as they are playing good hockey another huge 10/0 win against Hancocks. All the girls are doing a fine job and even have the chance to play in different positions learning new skills, next time will probably have to name the whole lot of them, keep it up young ladies fine work. D GRADE These teens had a double header this weekend starting off at 11.30 Saturday another game on the turf. Excellent team play and recovery, Hayley finally had to make some hard saves, Jazz and Lile ran their little buts off and Hayley W. kept going hard out. Nice backing up by all the others keeping the game under control a 2/0 win against Thistles. Sundays game was once again up on the grass and as usual we seem to scramble to adjust to the difference in pace. Always a very tough game against Wests and unfortunately we went down 1/0. All the girls tried so hard a credit to them. A 2. Was running late and did not get over the other side very annoyed with myself as I could hear the cheering from where I sat, the running commentary on my phone was exciting (from shayne) a huge huge 3/0 win against Bellbowrie as this team defeated us last time. Hell of a job girls. RESERVE; When I arrived they were already 3 nil up and then the rot kind of set in for a little while. Lots of scrambling and chasing back letting Hancocks put in 2 goals , However they kept on going and pulled out a 3/2 win. Should have flogged the poop out of them, cant do that if you don,t play as a team. A GRADE; DAMNATION was expecting a great game only playing stupid Hancocks but you girls let them get under you skin , Time for some of you girls to pull you head out of you arse and just play Hockey. Go back to the basics Trapping, Tackling, and doing you job. Never mind trying to run and beat 5 players before you pass. Get and Give and attack the goalies pads or just stay where you are and expect someone else to do it, if you cant be bothered. because that,s what it looked like. Poor game ladies. They say you should not hit a dog when its down, but sometime a little home truth never hurt anyone. Get together have a drink or have a fight get rid of the rubbish and come back strong. Have always said people just like watching good games so come on you can do it you have done before get back that spirit that makes you want to play and want to win. A 4/0 loss.
