E GRADE GIRLS; Had a good run finally on the turf, gave them a chance to show how much their skills have improved with the Tuesday training’s. Always in control of the game they started doing donuts and even tried a few back stick (very strong wrist control) passes . Multiple tallies for several girls saw a huge 11/1 win against Bellbowrie , who only score with about 2 mins to go. We all were attacking wanting to put one in the net and let them run away a good game again girls. D. GRADE; Been saying how great this team is but even though it was a nice 2/0 win against Norths felt that it was not up to their usual standard. Still lots of running done, and players moving to open spaces shows that they were using all the skills learned. Sometimes it just does not click, nevertheless still a nice win. RESERVE GRADE; Hell don’t blink or you would have missed the best goal of the year. Playing Wests White. We kept plugging away after Wests scored first to level up then to go into the lead, and then Wests scored to keep the game ties at 2/2 for most of the game. A very fast flowing game up and back with Wests getting a corner with 1min to go but we broke it down and took off with perfect pass from the center to just left of the attacking circle and then driven in to get the slightest of touches to score the winner with 2 secs to go Very Thrilling a 3/2 win. Having Goalies away meant that our 2 junior keepers had to step up and boy did they Both Hannah and Hayley did extremely well each having to do some great saves. Have every confidence in these two to progress further with keeping duties. VERY NICE GAME ALL LADIES, A GRADE; My god you women would turn my hair grey if it was not already. After last weeks game was hoping for a little better performance, but the whole lot of you were outstanding, enough pressure before the start thinking you may not have a keeper, having to push for dispensation to allow the 2 little ones to share again and finding out with 5 mins to go they would only let Hannah play made life a little difficult, but you buckled up and put on the clappers to all play so well. Was terribly impressed with the running back to support, NORTHS TOOWOOMBA, had a run away and dam not 1 or 2 but bloody 5 of you got back into the circle to defend. Just goes to show that you can do it, perfect clearances from defense to deliver the ball to the forwards allowed a constant attack in the circle. The communication on the field was all positive and it showed in the way you played. A welcome 4/2 win, letting you know you can score and score well. A BLOODY GOOD WEEKEND OF LADIES HOCKEY.
